"Infotainment? What the hell are you talking about?"

Correspondences Musée d'Orsay / Contemporary Art

We all love kitsch don't we? Don't we??
Most of all if it's sexy homoerotic kitsch with a taste of glamour:
Take a look at these works by Pierre et Gilles currently on display at Musée d'Orsay!

Pierre and Gilles, "Abel"

Vincent Feugère des Forts, "The Death of Abel"

The goal of those exhibitions is to invite a contemporary artist who chooses a work from the museum and presents one of his own works beside it. The dialogue between the two creates the double possibility of seeing the collections in another light and giving a different resonance to their modernity.

The exhibition is still visible form 20 February - 20 May 2007! So hurry up for the precious kitsch!

I am Cedric, discoverer of things that would go unnoticed in the streets of Paris, historic haven of fashionistas and city of lights ('lights' as in 'enlightenment', not street lights).
But seriously: I'm an expat from Luxembourg (the country, not the garden), living in the center of Paris (hence 'Paris 2nd arrondissement'), and currenlty studying architectural history...
