"Infotainment? What the hell are you talking about?"

Another round of DMP, October session, at the sexy KUBE rooms and bars, a design hotel in the 18th arrondissement with an ice bar inside.

"Kube combines a resolutely geometric sense of architecture, as its name suggests, with a 1960s sci-fi theme in its furnishings and décor, producing a feast for the eyes and senses. (...)
Behind a Haussmanian façade, a glowing Plexiglas cube serves as reception area, reminiscent of I.M. Pei’s pyramids in the Louvre’s courtyard. A cavernous lobby-cum-restaurant-cum-bar serves as the heart of the hotel, a futuristic, low-lit space with high ceilings, stainless steel accents and a state-of-the-art-sound system camouflaged in red ceiling lanterns." (

Since the Ice Bar is ridiculously expensive (Half an hour inside for 38 Euros, plus free vodka), we preferred to stay in the cozy ambiance of the DJ lounge, chatting and laughing, plotting and dancing (Ryan you*re such a great "smurfer" lol)!
On our way to see the toilets, we descend the fuzzy furry walled stairway to the basement

Even the lights give it a furry ambiance! You know I purr for furr!
The peeing spot
Don*t go there while the ladies are watching, which means never, since they have a perfect view onto the pissoirs, complete with sound effects... makes you think twice before you leave without washing your hands...
"We can see you!"
"Yeah, but I don*t care"
the toilet "door"
The ice bar

Ryan counting the moneyWhat a nice couple!I loooove those plastic balls, so much fun

I am Cedric, discoverer of things that would go unnoticed in the streets of Paris, historic haven of fashionistas and city of lights ('lights' as in 'enlightenment', not street lights).
But seriously: I'm an expat from Luxembourg (the country, not the garden), living in the center of Paris (hence 'Paris 2nd arrondissement'), and currenlty studying architectural history...
