PARIS 2e

"Infotainment? What the hell are you talking about?"

Ode to a panorama...rama

This is the view from one of my favourite park-benches in Paris, at the peak of the Tuileries Garden, overlooking Place de la Concorde and most major monuments up west. How many lost saturday afternoons have I spent here, reading magazines and newspapers and looking at the rush in front of me. If you stay long enough at this spot, you can see each and every car in Paris drive by. It's also still a very quiet spot, as most tourist groups haven't invaded it yet. You could even have an impromptu picnic here...

Maybe it was the slightly gray sky up above me, or the fact that I stayed too long at this spot, but I felt a wee bit depressed afterwards (and I still do now...)

I am Cedric, discoverer of things that would go unnoticed in the streets of Paris, historic haven of fashionistas and city of lights ('lights' as in 'enlightenment', not street lights).
But seriously: I'm an expat from Luxembourg (the country, not the garden), living in the center of Paris (hence 'Paris 2nd arrondissement'), and currenlty studying architectural history...
