Restaurant Jules Verne, Eiffel Tower, Paris

The Jules Verne restaurant on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower has recently undergone a complete renovation under designer Patrick Jouin, reopening its doors at the end of 2007 under the patronnage of Alain Ducasse. So far all expectations have been met and the Eiffel Towers' gourmet oasis has become one of Paris' most sought after restaurants again. Waiting time for tables can sometimes take up more than a month, as the restaurant, high up in the air, has quite a limited number of seats available, which is also why some refer to it as the most intimate dining room in the city.
Just about the most perfect setting there is to go celebrate my mom's birthday on a sunny summer day.

Waiting for the tiny private elevator to take us to the heaven of food

The dinner table is set all in white, with some unique designer pieces exclusively manufactured for the restaurant, such as the organic presentation plate or the tiny forks and spoons by Portuguese designer Paolo Viale

Lucky us, we got a table right in front of the windows, and are blessed with this gorgeous view during our meal.
