Senate Office Building

The Russell Senate Office Building is the oldest of the US Senate office buildings. Designed in Beaux-Arts style, it was built from 1903 to 1908 and opened in 1909. New York architectural firm Carrère and Hastings was retained for the construction.
John Carrère took charge of the Senate Office Building project, while Thomas Hastings oversaw the construction of an almost identical office building (now named the Cannon House Office Building) for the US House of Representatives. Their Beaux Arts designs are restrained complements to the Capitol.

I am Cedric, discoverer of things that would go unnoticed in the streets of Paris, historic haven of fashionistas and city of lights ('lights' as in 'enlightenment', not street lights).
But seriously: I'm an expat from Luxembourg (the country, not the garden), living in the center of Paris (hence 'Paris 2nd arrondissement'), and currenlty studying architectural history...
